Summary
certain month in 1975. A city-bred young man, Hijiri, who has moved to a rural village, learns of the existence of a young man who is shunned in that village. The young man Nagare, who lives quietly on a hill on the outskirts of the village, was born with a missing right arm and a bruise on his left hand. Furthermore, because his parents had died in suspicious circumstances, he was hated by the villagers.
